I just took a few minutes to read back through the journal entries from CaringBridge in the days when Noah was in the hospital, as well as the comments. I’m grateful that Susan, aka Mimi, was able to keep everyone posted as things developed. During that time, Dan and I, as well as the rest of the family were taking shifts, staying at Noah’s bedside as he fought. It was a long six days and as I’m sure you can imagine, our only focus was Noah. Know that late at night, when I went across the street to the hotel to sleep for a few hours, I would pull out my phone and read your comments. They were and are a comfort. We felt so loved and felt the love you have for Noah. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your pictures, your comments, and the occassional story about Noah. Thank you to Brian and Ruchna for bringing us warm clothes. I was freezing in Noah’s room. Thank you, Hailee for having an extra blanket and pillows in your car for us to use as we slept at Noah’s bedside. Thank you to my brother and Tim for going to the accident scene and the tow yard to retrieve Noah’s personal belongings–those items are precious to us. Thank you to all of our family for their unwavering support, being there in every way they could–making phone calls, running errands, coordinating with doctors, bringing food to the hotel, trying to get us to eat…all of it. The nurses and doctors that cared for Noah were nothing short of amazing. They took such good care of him, and of us. Words can’t adequately express the gratitude we feel for the support we have around us. I know I keep saying it. It’s because it just continues to amaze us. Know that if you are sending letters, cards, Facebook messages, emails, etc., we are reading them. It’s just not always easy to respond. Know they are a comfort and that you are heard. Thank you for making us feel loved.
