Today, the family is packing up and heading home. It’s been a very long two weeks here and we are trying to look at each step as a new chapter in this journey. The first chapter was the accident and subsequent days at Noah’s bedside. Next was his celebration of life. Now, it’s time to go home and try to wrap our heads around not seeing Noah there to greet us. Even though it’s only a few days that we will be home, we feel it’s an important step in our healing. I’m ready to see my dogs and be in our home filled with love. I have removed the “maintenance message” from the blog so that I could share a little bit about the boys. It has not been updated recently but has some insights into our family and the love we share together. Until next time.

Today could have been one of the worst days of my life. But it wasn’t. Dan, Gavin and I are beyond humbled by our supportive friends and family who traveled thousands of miles to celebrate our precious boy today. To say we are thankful seems inadequate. Today, while we grieved, we also laughed and reminisced about the spectacular young man Noah was and will always be. After the service, a small group of friends and family went down to the lake where Noah spent his summers. We released the messages that all of you left for Noah into the heavens above. May God continue to carry your special words, just as he carries us. Godspeed, little man. Sweet dreams.
